Kubu Pilatus Inn

I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived here in Padangbai, but I was hoping to find a place to base my travels for a few weeks in Bali.  The journey here was extremely efficient and successful, surprisingly enough, I am finding public transportation a great way to travel spontaneously here.

Looking around this village called Padangbai, I wasn't sure if I would stay long.  Then someone stopped and asked me if I was interested in nice accommodations and he took me to a very peaceful guesthouse near the beach (off the beaten path).  The name is Kubu Pilatus Inn, the owner, Putu Ngeres, speaks very good English and German.  Putu is very helpful and makes me feel right at home.

They keep the place very clean and maintained.

So, my journey connects with friendly locals who have very interesting traditions and customs.  I still get confused driving on the left side of the road, things are so different and it's so very hard to teach this old doggie new tricks.

  1. Well, you might be slow to learn new "tricks", but it sure looks like you're doing just fine there WMP ;)
