Travel to Indonesia

Traveling during this holiday season in SE Asia is the most wild experience I've ever had.  This is a week of holiday celebration comparable to our Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, 4th of July... all combined and bundled together.

It was celebration time and everybody was having fun,
these kids asked me to take their picture for the world to see them.

Start of a Journey

Arriving in Hong Kong was a bit like a box of chocolates... I really didn't know what was inside.  Surprise, I found there were very few people in the airport at 4:30 in the morning despite being Friday at the peak of the tourist season in SE Asia.  Why were these people still sleeping?

As the morning progressed, the airport became buzzing with swarms of people.  It was one of the biggest travel days of the year and I am well known for avoiding crowds, sorry for the lack of pics.

Took a brief "looksie" at the Hong Kong waterfront from a distance.
The skyline was every bit as dynamic as I had imagined.

They had closed the port the night before and issued a No. 8 storm signal because
Typhoon Kai Tak was approaching. It was exciting to be there during a very active weather day.

Meanwhile, back at the airport I found this dude taking flight lessons and
attempting to get away from the mass exodus .
